35/60.. I have no one to discuss this book with

I am currently reading this on my Kindle with the audiobook at the same time and I am having such an immersive experience I am so overwhelmed with this story. I searched this book in the sub and I cannot find it so I have to post this here in hopes of others who have also read it or are reading it. Please tell me you feel emotionally drained too? This story is gut wrenching. I just don’t know where to begin with this. Please someone comment about this book! Anything at all

Does your favorite book in the series match your favorite film adaptation? If not, how do your rankings differ, and why do you think they’re in a different order for you?

I will lead with myself..

Fav books in order

  1. Catching Fire
  2. Ballads of Songbird and Snakes
  3. The Hunger Games
  4. Mockingjay
  5. Sunrise on the Reaping

Fav films in order

  1. Catching Fire
  2. The Hunger Games
  3. Ballads of Songbird and Snakes
  4. Mocking Pt 2
  5. Mockingjay Pt 1

I really enjoyed the view of Lucy Gray through Snows eyes (not the way you may take that).. As corrupt and diabolical as he was. Somehow Lucy Grays shine was never dimmed. I could see how badass she was even from him. I yearned for the book to be in her POV tbh. She is easily my favorite character of the franchise. I can’t explain how the mystery of her impacted me. Her spunk and energy to keep going even after everything she went through. How much her influence was still felt in the trilogy… GOSH. And then Rachel Zeglers performance as her in the film made me love her even more. I just wish the film was a two parter and followed more truly to the complexity of the book and that’s my reasoning for that in my ranking list.

I want to hear some of yours! I love discussions regarding my favorite book series.

(SOTR not included bc film isn’t out yet)
