Nerve Issues/Numbness with Hands

I have been diagnose with Sjogrens for about 8 years. In the past year I have been waking up every night with my hands either completely numb (unusable and completely asleep) or pins and needles. My rheumatologist sent me to a neurologist who thought I had carpel tunnel? The neurologist did an emg/ncs that came back normal and that I do not have carpel tunnel. But I am still waking up every single night with numbness in my hands. I sleep with wrist braces and still wake up with numb hands. Has anyone else dealt with this type of numbness? What is it and how can I stop it from happening?
