JiDion Local Antics

So I started working at Publix two months ago and two days ago YouTuber JiDion pulled up mid shift with two police officers and arrested another employee named Tommy in one his “stings”. I don’t know all the details but I guess he got caught talking to one of JiDion’s 13 year old decoys.

I’m all for confronting and exposing pedophiles, but Tommy is mentally disabled. I don’t know his exact mental illness, but it’s apparent immediately once you talk to him or even when you look at him. Even though he’s 35 when you talk to him, it’s like talking to a middle schooler. Regardless, Tommy should know better and I’m glad he was confronted about this but it doesn’t seem quite right the way things played out.

JiDion probably didn’t know he was mentally handicapped before meeting him but he for sure knew once he pulled up. However, this didn’t stop him from plastering Tommy’s face all over his Instagram and humiliating him in front of everyone in the store. If this was anyone else I wouldn’t care less, I would cheer for it, but Tommy is an easy target and someone who probably doesn’t even quite understand the scope of the situation. Why wasn’t he just satisfied with him getting arrested? why make content and clips of him even though you know he is not all there mentally?

I can’t fully go against JiDion’s actions because it’s a good cause but all the extra social media antics didn’t feel like the right way for this case.
