Prison rape isn’t funny
I know I may be a buzzkill here and will probably be downvoted, but I‘ve seen lots of jokes lately about Edmundo and others about what potentially awaits them in prison: violent rape. I had a father who made rape jokes, I get it. But it is violent, injurious forcible rape. Once you know the details and statistics, and the horrifying reality, of male prison rape, it’s almost impossible to laugh at.
We also hate these guys because rape is what they were going to do. So it might feel like poetic justice but it really isn’t. For most of these guys, the jail time, public humiliation, being an RSO, and the lifelong social isolation is enough, getting violently, anally raped is just not necessary.
