Follow-Up - A12 film back light leak problem.

I posted two images last week and asked about the light flare on the left side. You were all very kind to alert me to the fact that it was a light leak from a broken seal. I brought the two film backs into Artifact Cameras in Nashville, Tenn. The very knowledgeable tech said that he could easily replace the seals on both backs for $100. When he opened them up, he found markings on one of the backs that showed it was last replaced in 1999! Not only was there a leak, but it was 27 years in the making! So all is good now, thanks for the help.

What is the cause of this light flare?

I have a Hasselblad 500c with a Distogon 1:4 50mm. I went to Miami last month and used a variety of black and white films (Kodak 400TX, 100TMAXX, Lomography Lady Grey and Earl Grey). I used the AstriHori light meter. I also used the Sunny 16 rule. For TriX is used 16/500 and for Earl Grey 16/125. I also used a chart so that when the light meter said to use f30 at 1/60, I dropped to f22 at 1/125.

All the rolls showed the same light flair on the same side of the picture. I would appreciate any comments.

BTW: I am a graduate of NYU Film School and previously used a Canon A1 with various lenses. This is my first real work with a Hasselblad and 120 film. My previous light meter was a Sekonic, but it no longer works. Can they be repaired?

I was out today taking pictures with my 500c and Distagon f:4 50mm lens. When I looked through the viewer, the image looked like there was a dark filter in front. I checked all the possible issues and found nothing wrong. I then clicked the shutter, and now the image was normal. This happened twice, and I had to lose two pictures. Does anyone have any idea of what was going on with my camera? Any help would be appreciated.

I am shooting neon lights at night. My settings are ISO 1600, f2.8 and1/125. The problem is that the lowest speed on my lens is f4. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what setting I should use?

I attached an AstriHori light meter using a cold shoe adapter from Anderson Island Films. The shoe is a bit loose. What can I do to put it more firmly in place? Also, what can I do secure the meter to the shoe so it does not move as well? Thanks.
