CS quality of life

I will be shipping out in less than 2 months I already have a clear idea of the 2 rates that I want either CS or DC but more inclined to CS , I know someone that’s currently serving in the CS right now I was having an conversation with him this morning an he told me for the love of god no to go CS , he says that he has never ever met a CS that actually likes their job, that they are all miserable and they all did it because of the bonuses, any thought about this?

Naturalization test during BC

I will become a citizen during BC , I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge regarding this, and how is the process, do you still have to take the test and answer the question? My recruiter doesn’t have a lot of knowledge regarding this , he told me that I will be his first applicant doing this process

Collar device

Any tips how to memorize this?? I already know pretty much all the required knowledge from the 11 general order, alphabet, rates , etc… but this is the one thing I am struggling to remember I just don’t get the pattern maybe someone can point me in the right direction, and when you get quiz during BC how is it that they go about? Do they show you something and you have to describe it?

How difficult is the swimming test ?? I am in really good shape run time on a good day 10:30 in a bad day 11:15 , 60 pushups , i can hold plank 5 minutes and overall good shape I know i can improve all this number before I go BC, but I don’t know how to swim, I have few friends that are in the coast guard and navy and they all keep telling me that at BC they have really good instructor and they will teach me in just few lessons, I am 34 and I want to sign up few swimming lessons but they are quite expensive I still have a little over 2 months before I go BC , so my question is if you guys think is worthy or just a waste of money, please let me know, thanks
