I’ve never been more affected by a president than now. It makes it feel like college isn’t even worth it.

Hey everyone! I was recently accepted into the full-time MSW Clinical program at Western Michigan University, with a specialization in TALS, and I’ll be starting in September! (I was accepted in to the program late so this is very last minute 😩)

I also have a BS in Behavioral Psychology and several years of experience in the mental health field, ranging from direct patient care and behavioral support to administration and behavioral health case management.

I’m currently working with my field coordinator to secure a placement, but I wanted to reach out to the social work community as well. I’m specifically looking for remote or potentially hybrid field placement opportunities, preferably paid, that could meet my program’s requirements.

I’m also a parent to a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old. I’m willing to consider an in-person employment-based placement if necessary, but a remote placement would make a significant difference in my ability to balance childcare, my required placement hours, and a full-time graduate program. I really want to be able to give my education and placement the attention they deserve rather than constantly struggling with logistics.

If anyone knows of organizations that offer remote MSW placements, particularly in clinical mental health, crisis intervention, behavioral health, case management, telehealth, or related areas, I would really appreciate any leads or recommendations!
