Congee, Asian rice porridge
7 cups of whatever broth or stock you have or can create. 1 cup of uncooked rice. If you use boullion paste like I did, use very little salt or none at all. I seasoned with onion powder, oregano, bay leaves, ginger, black pepper, paprika, and garlic allspice seasoning (in moderation because it contains salt). Cook for an hour in a pot on the stove. I added some coconut milk at the end for added creaminess. Finished it off with Japanese BBQ sauce. Everything other than the sauce I got at the dollar store or food bank.
