My family and I are coming to Barcelona in late August. We'll be visiting Spanish family in Zaragoza as well. I've been reading about the climate-change induced heat waves and I'm feeling worried -- I get very sick if I can't cool my body down sufficiently. What's the cooling situation in Barcelona? Is it like much of western Europe--little to no A/C, even in hotels? Are there public places to go cool down, like libraries? Most cities and towns in the US open cooling centers during heat waves for people who don't have AC in their homes.
