Any tips for incision site tenderness?

Basically the title. Everything is all healed up and I’ve been putting Vitamin E oil on it twice daily to speed up healing the scars. But they’re still tender to the touch and a little keloid. Any tips? I’m 43F in my 8th week.

Incredible Quesadilla Night Tonight with Better than Bullion

Tonight we cooked 3 chicken breasts in 20oz water and 2 tsp of roasted chicken better than bullion. We kept it on low for an hour then added in a can of diced tomatoes. Once everything had cooked down, we shredded the chicken.

Everyone loved it. We used to always buy either broth or stock and cook things down in that, but we don’t have much storage space in our kitchen, so I decided to buy the BtB instead.

We used flour tortillas from Costco and shredded Mexican blend(also from Costco) and some butter. Truly so delicious, very few ingredients, cost-conscious, and a game changer for us. Easy to start an hour before you want to eat and just let it cook.

Edited to say: we used the reduced sodium roasted chicken flavor.

Over It!

I’m so over needing crutches.

I’m so over needing help to get in the bathtub to shower.

I’m so over going to PT 3x a week.

I’m so over the, “omg what happened?!” questions.

I’m so over being in pain if I do too much.

I’m so over my house being a mess because I can’t clean it the way I like to.

I’m so over all of it.

But on the flip side, I’m so grateful to have had surgery, so grateful to my family and friends for all of their help, INSANELY grateful for my boyfriend quite literally carrying me at times, and so grateful to my PT for all of the exercises to help me improve.

I just want to walk without crutches. I want to put more weight on my left leg. I want to sleep on my left side again. I want to not worry about having to navigate stairs with crutches after two glasses of wine. And I DESPERATELY want to walk on the beach.

I know it’s close and that all healing is non-linear. I’m just in the “fed up” stage. Aka, 6 weeks post-op.

Hello. We are considering getting a pull out couch for our sunroom so that guests can comfortably sleep out there, but we also want to be able to use the room as a secondary hang out space. I know that oftentimes, mattresses that come with pull out couches are crap. We're looking at a This End Up couch and want to know what mattress topper we can get for it that will be more comfortable for weekend guests(as we live by the beach and have a lot of them in the summer). If it has to be a roll-away one, that's fine, too! Thanks in advance!
