Fees for extra persons?
I use VRBO several times a year, and never had this happen. Ad says sleeps up to 6 (2 bedrooms and a pullout couch). I have a family of 4, teenagers need/want their own bed(room) I booked for Nov, and the host contacted me and asked for the ages of the kids. Then sends a request for $40 ($10 a day per extra persons). Host says the rental is for 2 people. It never specifically says this on the site. There is wording for fees may apply for extra persons. I thought that might mean above the listed 6 people.
Is this a new thing, or just a quirky owner.
When I reached out she said it was for cleaning the extra linens, electricity, and water. Wtf?!?!
Edit: Thanks for responding. I always put the number of people in the search, and never knew it would be adjusted. But not sure why the owner is charging more. Have been communicating with owner.
