Soften and Minimize Scar Tissue

I'm looking for an over the counter product that can soften and minimize scar tissue. It is not for my face but rather, my forearm. Any recommendations?

I Can Not Sleep

Hi, folks. I am struggling with pretty serious insomnia on Tirzepatide. Is anyone else dealing with this? I struggle immensely to fall asleep and am getting 4 to 6 hours of low quality sleep at best at night. I'm only taking 2.5 mg each week and am on dose 4 but I'm so desperate for a good night's sleep I could cry. I've tried lots of lifestyle intervention/changes and over the counter supplements/drugs, including but not limited to magnesium, sleepytime tea, Benadryl, etc. It's getting bad enough that I feel like I might need professional medical help. I'm just wondering if anyone else is struggling with sleep like I am. What have you done to address it?

Kickboxing

Hi All, I'm interested in learning how to kickbox and have never kickboxed before. I'm not sure I want to spar with other people at all, just looking for new ways to stay active and have fun. Can anyone recommend a gym or studio that would be good for a female beginner? I'm located in Houston TX. Tried posting in the Houston sub but the automod deleted my post and suggested I post here.

Tirzepatide and Sub Clinical Hypo

Has anyone with sub clinical hypothyroidism found that they need less thyroid hormone replacement after starting Tirzepatide? I took my first 2.5 mg dose of Tirzepatide today and I think the sudden lowering of inflammation in my body hit me like a bus with over whelming fatigue. I'm wondering if it's likely I will need less armour over time.

Injection Anxiety

I am supposed to start taking Zepbound today. I took all the steps leading up to this lovely moment in time. And yet, I am seriously over here wondering what crazy person signed me up for a weekly self administered injection. Who was it?! Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. I feel like a big baby but I genuinely don't like needles and this will be a struggle lol Thanks in advance. edit to add: I'm mostly being a bit silly here. I'll be able to put my big girl pants on and do this, I am just really not looking forward to it.

Post injection edit: I literally read all of your responses and then decided to just do it and get it over with. So, injection is done. It was literally painless, having blood drawn to check on my thyroid hormones is more painful than this tiny little needle. It was silly of me to be worried but thank you all for the the support and encouragement ❤️

DHEA Supplementation

40F and am thinking of taking DHEA supplements (starting low at 5 mg/day) but am struggling to find research that discusses optimal ranges for DHEA-S in labwork. The one source I did find suggested an optimal range of DHEA-S for females of 150 to 300 mcg/dL. My level about a year ago was 85 mcg/dL. Does anyone have any research articles and/or sources that discuss optimal ranges for DHEA in women? It is worth nothing that I am being treated for subclinical hypothyroism and did read that low DHEA often goes hand in hand with low thyroid hormones. My thought process at this point is that 5 mg a day is unlikely to harm me and is probably worth trying since I'm dealing with a myriad of other issues regarding mood, motivation, energy, etc. Any thoughts/feedback/personal experience would be welcomed. Thanks.

Good PCP that accepts cash pay

I think I am at the point of cash paying for an annual physical and then utilizing my insurance only for the lab work. Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in the Houston area (bonus points if they are located inside loop 610) that accepts cash pay. Thanks in advance.

Marketplace Denver vs Houston

I'm currently getting health insurance through a marketplace plan in Houston, TX. I'm wondering what happens when and if I move to Denver, CO. It may sound like a silly question but I worked with a broker to find this current coverage. Should I simply work with a broker in Denver to get new coverage? Or is that not necessary? Also, how could I do some research on cost in the Colorado market? I'm genuinely just trying to think through every possible question before I potentially move from Denver to Houston. Just trying to understand how my health insurance will change and how that will all play out. Thanks in advance
