Why is Astrosharp not integrated into Pixinsight or Siril?

So I’m currently exploring all the tools for processing and quickly noticed that most standalone tools (like Graxpert, Starnet etc) have been integrated into PI or Siril, but Astrosharp has been around for a while now and still doesn’t have an integration into any software. Is there any particular reason for this?

Do you do background extraction on nightscapes?

So I’m in the process of editing a wide-angle nightscape. I have basically no light pollution only natural atmospheric glow around the horizon, would background extraction even be necessary?

How do you plate solve your wide-field Milky Way images?

So I’m struggling with plate solving my Milky Way images, I don’t have a dedicated astrophotography camera so I don’t have the right ascension or declination. I’ve tried setting the Lagoon Nebula for my direction and my focal length and pixel size, no luck. So I was wondering how do you plate solve your Milky Way images?

Technique on how to stretch without blowing out galaxy core?

So I’m fairly new to astrophotography, and so far the biggest issue I have is overexposed galaxy cores after stretching. I stretch in Siril with curves and levels and once stretched the cores are clipped, they were completely fine before stretching. What software or technique should I use to avoid this?
