Would love some input from someone who’s owned garters since the Juvenile stage
This is my lil guy SSSteve, I saved him from my doggos grasp a couple of weeks ago now and decided to keep him. I have had previous experience keeping Garters in the past but never ones this young so there’s a few things that are new to me. I’ve done some research about the shedding process and to my understanding they shed every couple weeks in their first year and that they loose appetite when they do. So I’m just asking if anyone else has experienced that and if I should worry or not if he isn’t interested in food for a while, because I also read they need to eat every other day in their youth but he is refusing the tilapia bites that he had no problem with until now. Also this picture is not present day, and I can confirm his eyes are milky white and the rest of him has gone grayish like he’s about to shed. I would love any feedback, thanks!🐍❤️
