Need replacement rubber/silicone plungers for AGB-001 shoulder switches (not the switches themselves)
I'm repairing an original **Game Boy Advance (AGB-001)** and made a mistake while servicing the shoulder buttons.
The L and R tactile switches were still electrically functional, but I wanted to clean them because they were inconsistent. I carefully opened both switches to clean the metal dome and contacts with contact cleaner.
Unfortunately:
* I **tore one of the black rubber/silicone plungers** while removing it. * I **lost the other plunger** entirely.
Everything else is intact:
* The metal housings are still soldered to the motherboard. * The metal domes and contacts are fine. * The switches would work perfectly if I had replacement plungers.
I'm **not looking for replacement shoulder switches**, since that would require desoldering. I'm specifically looking for the tiny **black rubber/silicone actuator/plunger that sits inside the tactile switch housing**.
I've searched for:
* replacement tactile switch plungers * silicone tactile switch actuators * Game Boy Advance shoulder switch plunger * AGB shoulder switch rubber insert
...but I haven't found anyone selling these separately.
**My questions:**
- Has anyone found a source for replacement rubber/silicone plungers?
- Does anyone know of a modern tactile switch that uses the exact same internal plunger so I can harvest it?
- Has anyone successfully 3D printed or molded replacements in silicone?
- If anyone has dead AGB boards with intact shoulder switches, would you be willing to sell or mail me just the plungers?
I'd really like to save the original switches if possible instead of replacing them entirely.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
