Rigatoni enjoying one of his very last bottles… indeed, the Pasta kittens are almost eating enough on their own that we can stop bottle service… hopefully tomorrow. Tortellini is definitely being the most stubborn about it, typical tortie.
And would you look at those eyebrows?! They get bigger and wilder every day it seems!
Rigatoni has been practicing his air biscuit technique (it’s exhausting being so cute). Or is he trying to make pasta dough?? His sister Tortellini needs to work on her technique.
I’ve been calling these kids the dead bug kittens because they’re always belly up with their feet in the air! They’re about 17 days old as of today.
He may only have one and a half eyeballs open, but he’s ready to go! Such big steps for a kid who barely weighs over 200g. We’re fostering this little dude and his two siblings, Tortellini (tortie girl, one eyeball open) and Linguine (orange, no eyeballs open). They’re 13 days old so we should be getting the rest of those eyeballs any day now.
Figures he’d pick a pompom as his favorite toy since he basically is one himself.
This is Cornichon, aka Corn, who we’ve been fostering along with his siblings Gherkin, Dill, and Piccalilli (that’s her observing from above at the end). They are about 7 weeks old and almost big enough to move on to their forever homes 🥰
Y’all Gherkin might be the widest kitten I’ve ever seen. He’s only 40g bigger than little Cornichon (the little void there, and smallest of 4) but look at that epic belleh. It’s pretty much the only way I can tell him and Dill apart (Dill, aka Big Dill, is actually a few grams heavier but not nearly as wide). Sister Piccalilli rounds out this litter of 4, currently 3 weeks old. Sweet Mommy Pickles (who we have as well!) sure makes cute baby pickles!
Tess, Rusty and Livingston have the run of the room now and boy do they like to run!
Their newest game involves an upside down box, and it is proving very entertaining (for them AND for me!)
Tess (the gray and only girl) definitely got all the brain cells and then some. She’s a firecracker!
Rusty is working on his beach bod… unfortunately the belleh just won’t quit. What can I say, the dude loves to eat! One more day in shelter-mandated quarantine, bud, then you’ll have run of the room!
(You can also spot his brother Livingston pigging out and his sister Tess chilling on my feet on the background.)
It appears there are some Livingston fans here (he’s the yelly one from the cuddle puddles photos I posted a few days ago) so I thought y’all would appreciate his… enthusiastic eating style. Let’s just say he eats with his whole heart (literally… his entire upper body). Needless to say we’ve gone through a lot of baby wipes this week 😂 and of course after eating he likes to sit on my shoulder and snuggle with his fish stick breath. I love him.
Livingston and his 5 siblings (Danny, Rusty, Linus, Basher, and Tess) are almost 5 weeks old, though Liv is the size of a 3 1/2 week old, he’s itty bitty. But he’s been eating like a champ we have no doubt he’ll grow up big and strong!
The Ocean’s 6 litter (Danny, Rusty, Basher, Linus, Livingston, and Tess) are certainly keeping us busy (6 kittens = lots of 💩). We’re actually going to split them with another foster tomorrow now that they’re feeling a bit better and we’re pretty sure they’re in the clear after a panleuk exposure (phew). I’ll miss having the whole bunch but three at once is much more manageable.
They’re about 4 weeks old and will be in foster for another month or so until they’re ready to be adopted!
Oh and Livingston (the yeller in the first photo) wants me to tell you he is the baby and to treat him accordingly (he’s not even 300g, smaller than a 3 week old bottle baby we fostered before this). Compare him to Basher who is almost 450g, the chunky boy!
So kind of them to sort themselves out for me. My books are organized by color, why not my foster kittens too? 🥰🥰🥰
From top: Basher, Tess (the only girl and she’s definitely in charge), Danny, Rusty, Livingston and Linus. I think. Need to get some longer lasting lipstick so I can mark them better (the circus peanuts all look nearly identical with only subtle size difference and varying degrees of crusty eyes).
