Work cancelled Friday, so I snuck away Thursday night. Arrived at dusk (look at that sunset view), set up the new tent for the first time, got my arse battered not by the 40 km of twisty road but the extreme wind overnight that tore the tent apart.

I ended up wrapping the vestibule around my boots, wedged the shortened hiking pole through my chair and my belt (yes I was wearing it) and faced away from the wind until the sun came up. I wanted an adventure, lol.

Totally my own stupid fault for pitching the main face in the wind. Live and learn.

Earned that breakfast burger and coffee on the way home.
