My prescription is -6 and I'm considering the surgery.

1. Are you currently having trouble reading a book or looking at your phone up close?

2. What was your vision prescription?

3. If your close-up vision was blurry at first but later improved, how long did that take? And how good is it now?

Has anyone here seriously considered switching from being a pilot to a completely different career because of the monotony or boredom?

I’m curious how common this is. Flying seems exciting from the outside, but doing it day after day can start to feel repetitive. If you could start over, would you choose a different profession instead? For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics engineering, or something else entirely
