Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 10 - 23 Aug 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Recent week I have been concentrating on using up my sample sachets as part of an overall inventory reduction sprint. Glad to reduce my inventory numbers by almost 10. Really happy to reduce the sample clutter as well, they seem to reproduce by themselves 😂.

Another win was hitting pan on my Nars pressed powder! I do go through powders a fair bit but didn’t quite expect it will happen this month, happy to see progress!

It’s time again for reflection and rolling in a new lip product this week. Some guiding questions for the posts:

- Product brand and name

- Why is this product selected?

- Do you wear the lip product by itself only or layered/mixed with other products?

- Do you still like the formula/colour/effect the lip product gives?

- Any new discoveries or decisions made after testing the product for a week?

Last update’s pick was my Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid lip tint in 03 Starlight Bubble and Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in Pompadour. I managed to roll in a week’s use for each product which was pretty nice. I actually quite enjoy my LE Gloss Embrace quite a fair bit, loving the lip caring nature of this during the day and intend to continue using it this update too~ The other lip choice will be a matte, Girlcult Matte Lip Mud in Red Water in a mini size. Really want to pan this and also enjoy the fuss free nature of a matte lip as well. These two will be strictly my work duo as I prefer more casual looks for weekends (tinted lip balm/oils) instead.

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 27 July - 9 Aug 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

I managed to hit pan on my jp drugstore eyeshadow quad (Excel SR03)! This is a project pan 2026 target (hit pan on 1 colour at least) so really thrilled to have achieved this 😆 Also used up one skin tint that was like 2 years in progress (Excel tinted moisturiser), wasn’t impressed by the formula and the finish, slogged and fully emptied it alternating with other base products.

Last update’s pick was my Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid lip tint in 07 Solar Crystal and my Em Cosmetics Soft Spoken Lip Creme in Tender. Used both equally which was a rare occasion as I tend to lean towards one item more in between each update. They paired really well with the eyeshadow quad that hit pan and the beige blush mood vibe I was loving.

This update am rolling in my Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid lip tint in 03 Starlight Bubble and Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in Pompadour. Monsoon rains are breaking up some of the heat and my mood has transitioned into happy bright fun colours 🥰 looking to also use softer peach and pink blushes so they would pair just fine~

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 13-26 July 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Happy to report that I emptied a skin tint recently that had been around for sometime as I didn’t like it at first but found a way to make it work. So happy to have finished it!

On the flip side, I acquired 1 new blush and 2 lip products because redemption of membership points as they were expiring… the silver lining is that I need not start using them immediately. Also, since my consumerism tapered off there is no more point redemption opportunities down the road as I had not been buying new makeup, hence not accumulating more points.

Last update’s pick was my Joocyee glossy stick in 562 Flat White and my mini of Girlcult’s matte lip mud/mousse? in Red water. Really enjoyed having a beigey brown with the Joocyee glossy stick. However as the weather started being really hot the formula became more melty usage and more product with each application. At the later part of the 2nd week I had to rely on my fingers to spread it out a bit and find that fussy and stopped using it. My Girlcult on the other hand was great but I only clocked in around 4-5 uses before I lost it permanently. Lesson learnt is that do not keep minis in the pocket as it was so light that I had no recollection when and where I dropped it… It was already scraping the sides and I have another mini so letting that go.

This 2nd half month’s pick is my Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid lip tint in 07 Solar Crystal and my Em Cosmetics Soft Spoken Lip Creme in Tender. Still continuing the browny and terracotta colours train for this month as the weather continues to be baking hot 🥵

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 29 June - 12 July 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Omg time flew by and this round had become a monthly update instead. 😨😭Have set reminders so I shouldn’t miss the schedule for every 2 weeks from now on.

I also like to share my no-buy is going well. Only had to do 1 replacement of a skincare item and was frankly did no shopping at all since life was life-ing.

Last update’s pick was Flower Knows Shells Jewel Lip Serum in 02 Stella Nacre. The matte pick was my Girlcult Material Medica Matte Lip in 04 Little Cumin. I ended up using both for the entire month as both are work horses and the Flower Knows was a great weekend pick as well. Hoping to pan the Flower Knows lip serum this year, happy that it got well used in June.

Next 2 weeks I will be switching up to my Joocyee glossy stick in 562 Flat White and my mini of Girlcult’s matte lip mud/mousse? in Red water. As the temperatures get oven-like hotter, I tend to deviate towards beigey and terracotta colours with a generally more toned down makeup as well. Also, putting in the mileage to pan for these two items, the Joocyee is the click pen type with 2.2g of product and the mini is only 0.7ml I believe.

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 1 - 14 June 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Sorry for being late. Due to work and health, I’ve decided to change the post to a bi-monthly update format instead. Want to shout out a big thanks to all who have been actively participating and I hope that this new format will continue to support you all on your lipstick love journey.

I have also been reflecting on my purchases this year as well and have decided to embark on a strict No buy for toiletries, skincare and makeup till end 2026.

Few motivations:
- I have a lot of inventory across all beauty categories. Will need to go through them and I am sure with 7 months to go, I’m still not going to finish all.
- Want to not think about sales at all, automatically opting out of all releases and even the big year end sales.
- want to really use up my collection which I enjoy instead of getting distracted by novelty of trying new stuff.

All nothing new but I think I have been using retail therapy as an escape route from work stress again so this will be a good focus exercise.

Last update’s pick was Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in Silent Sun. Of course I had to promptly misplace it after rolling it in and now I can’t find it still 😭 Instead, I worked on my Flower Knows Swan Ballet Shine Lipstick in 01 Little Star and am super happy to report that I have panned it! Looking into my spreadsheet I had been using this for 2 years… 😅 I didn’t dig into it with a lip brush as I have so many other lip products but I do count this as done 😤

For the next update in 2 weeks time, I am rolling into a matte and and moisturizing formula for my focus products. My Flower Knows Shells Jewel Lip Serum in 02 Stella Nacre. The matte pick is my Girlcult Material Medica Matte Lip in 04 Little Cumin. Both work well for work and I like to have a peach and pinkish option to switch based on the other makeup. This is such a throwback to when I started, just 2 options, a pink and a peach… 🥺

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Use Your Stash! 1 lip 👄 a week (LAW) 25 - 31 May 2026

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Sorry for missing out the last 2 weeks as I was seriously sick and then got swamped by life and work. We are now back again heading into the end of May and would love to hear your updates!

Last update’s pick was Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid Jewel Lip Tint in 03 Starlight Bubble. The lip tint formula is really good but I also taught me that I just don’t gravitate towards glassy lip tint looks as it doesn’t get picked up in my collection much, as I prefer glosses and dare I say, stickier formulas. Also whilst I was sick I was just surviving on my lip balms so didn’t get much use in the meantime any lip products.

This week my pick will be Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in Silent Sun. I still need to ease into coloured lip products and this tube is finally on the home stretch of panning. Hoping that focusing on it this week will get it panned! Once it is done, I can open a new lip product that is also a clear gloss in my stash to start working on going through my lip stash as well.

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

It’s now May and we are heading right into spring weather and warm weather yay!

Last week’s pick was a mini, Girlcult Miao Witch matte lip mousse in Red Water. For a mini it is going pretty strong, partly as I reapply less since there is little transfer. Really enjoy girlcult matte formulas and happy to switch up my makeup for a really light cheek to pair with this muted terracotta, felt I was getting blush blindness sometimes.

This week I’m rolling in my Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid Jewel Lip Tint in 04 Starlight Bubble. The weather has been getting really warm here and this is a very pretty juicy apricot lip tint that has a glassy finish, fitting the weather vibes! This is a really good lip tint formula just that I don’t use it enough.

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!

Hi everyone, it's time for another update of LAW!

Time flies and we are already heading to the end of April! My target this year is to pan 3 lip products (be it minis or full size) and reduce my lip stash further. Pretty confident this can be done. Balancing this is to also rotate through my collection so that items are not forgotten either.

Do share if you have any lip goals this year and how has the journey been? Would love to hear about it!

It’s time again for reflection and rolling in a new lip product this week. Some guiding questions for the posts:

- Product brand and name

Last week’s pick was my Em Cosmetics Soft Spoken Lip Creme in Tender. I used for 4 days and managed to bring it around for reapplication. Really enjoyed the colour and the soft moussey formula is that hard on my dry lips. It does transfers quite a bit when drinking so this could be partly why I am not as in love with it as this weeks pick.

This week am rolling in a mini, Girlcult Miao Witch matte lip mousse in Red Water. Currently it is my favourite soft matte formula with how thin it feels and has very little transfer, if any. The only issue with girlcult lip products is the strong floral scent but personally I don’t mind it strangely. Red Water is a muted terracotta that functions as a daily workhorse. This is a tiny 0.5g mini that I would like to pan this year as I also own a duplicate as they were free gifts from my order.

Looking forward to seeing your updates and new entries!
