So I’m currently planning on having my players visit Pylas Talaear, and I’m struggling to find any info online about this place even though it seems fairly important as it’s how the adventurers would enter Aerenal normally. The only thing I have found giving any info so far was the Eberron Campaign Guide which had very little additional info compared to the wiki.

Like is there tourism in Pylas Talaear? Does it have beaches where nobles just go to vacation to? I know there is exports and imports, and all the dragonmarked houses have a spot in this city (seems weird to me that House Orien would have anything here due to the rest of the island unwelcoming to foreigners).

So I was messing with the idea of having a Draconic prophecy that if the party managed to complete correctly, one of their party members gets a new dragonmark. But after I wrote it, I realized it doesn’t necessarily have to be the player that completes it, but instead an NPC that is often around the party, since the requirement would technically apply to her as well.

The thing is the NPC has an aberrant mark, so the question becomes if she were to fulfill the prophecy, what exactly would happen? Would she have both the dragonmark and aberrant mark? I lean towards no, since dragonmark you can only have one dragonmark according to every source, and mixed marks exist.

So would she lose her aberrant mark and gain the new dragonmark? Or would her descendants start appearing with it? I know that it’s probably going to be “up to the DM how they rule this” but I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on this.
