Lakewood's emergency shelter is under threat, act now to support it staying open!

The Navigation Center in Lakewood provides up to 100 people experiencing homelessness a roof over their head and connection to other resources with the goal of long-term solutions and stability. Because of the recent citywide zoning rollback, that critical community resource must now get a special use permit in order to continue operating.

That permit will be voted on by the Lakewood Planning Commission this coming Wednesday the Navigation Center at 480 S. Allison Pkwy, you can comment in person there or submit a comment online here.

This support is essential in the face of opposing voices who would like to see this essential community resource shut down. A lot more needs to be done to address the homelessness crisis in Lakewood and beyond, but the Navigation Center is an essential resources that we cannot afford to lose.

Please take a minute and submit an online comment right now!
