Sanity check for upcoming install

Hey folks looking for a bit of a sanity check and hive mind input on this before I decide how to proceed.

Option 1 - 7.68Kw Array : £12.9K

16 x LONGi 480 Watt Panels (LR7-54HVB-480M)
1 x SigenStor EC 6.0SP
1 x SigenStor BAT 10.0
2 x IMO-SI16-PEL64R-2
1 x IMO-IS4P63

Option 2 - 9.6Kw Array : £14.3K

20 x LONGi 480 Watt Panels (LR7-54HVB-480M)
Split over 2 roofs as 16 and 4 panels?
2 x SigenStor EC 6.0SP *
1 x SigenStor BAT 10.0
2 x IMO-IS4P63
1 x DFS-14-W
1 x IMO-SI16-PEL64R-2

Not sure 2 controllers is a good plan? Presumably specified to accommodate the short 4 panel string which could probably be increased to 6 making total panels 22.

Installation will be on a detached residential property in Cheshire.

Prices based on in-roof rather than on roof systems as the property will be reroofed at the same time as installation.

Additional reroofing cost:

Scaffolding : £1.4K
Roof : £7.4K
Leadwork : £435
Waste removal : £295
Prices exc VAT.

No EV’s yet
Home working
Gas CH (Combi)
Plans to install AC (Air to Air heat pump type) to offload some gas heating usage.

Installer calculations claim 9 year 10 month payback based on assumed 5500kWh. Currently it’s 3500kWh
Other online installer calcs indicate significantly less at ~6y for comparable setup?

Shade Factor : 0.677

Should I be getting more for this money like an additional battery in the stack, gateway included, DC EV charger, I asked for S10 panels but they quoted LR7 X10 instead although I believe both have integrated shade mitigation?

Intention is to max out number of panels on available roof space and export as much as possible after covering own usage requirements.

Feel like applying for DNO first to establish export limit may be a better move before finalising the system design?

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Doubled Ended Spliced Captive Eyelet Carabiner Rope

Please excuse the possible newbie question but we all have to start somewhere right!

Could someone please confirm if it is possible to Brummel splice captive eyelet carabiners as per the pic to opposite ends of a single piece of 12 strand Dyneema rope?

Not purchased the materials yet and am new to this but can’t get my head around if the carabiner has to pass through the hole made in the rope to form the lock when there is only access to one end of the rope and if it does how do you want a hole big enough without compromising the rope integrity?

I’ve searched hours of YouTube and all the video are either making soft rope eyes or with hard eye thimbles which are inserted during or after making the eye.

Ideally want to splice it rather than knot or hog ring it and it needs to be captive carabiner as marine application.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!
