Idiolect, by Rin Kaseya

Groove box hardware jams, somewhere in the realm of IDM, somewhere over the experimental rainbow, 100% enjoyable. Music by a down to earth dude who deserves more attention. This isn’t the only release on his page but likely the best and most accessible. Check it out!

Let’s Split, by Skrawek + Starry Eyed Night

Hi, you might now as Starry Eyed Night, and I can’t sing.

2 years and 7 months ago through Reddit I connected with the mysterious artist known as Skrawek. We furiously collaborated and put out what I consider an instant classic of the experimental electronic genre.

In that 2+ years we’ve been pretty prolific. This marks our 8th collaborative split and we’ve both put out a number of works since.

First of all we want the music to speak for itself so just go listen. If you’ve been following us for a while now you should recognize some call backs, reused samples and registrations of a couple songs.

Oh, and I, re-did Piasshingu again. This is an important track to Notorious lore… its rejection from a rival labels compilation series directly lead to our compilation series, growth of NAAC and that growth has lead to a bunch of rad friendships with other musicians.

For my side I personally reached out to ACITYASLEEP to bring new depth and feeling to my track Scrap Eyes. The song was already built of an ambient guitar sample from him so I asked if he’d be willing to lend his voice. He let the spirit of music flow through him and wrote some hauntingly beautiful lyrics to boot.

Then I begged DJ Big Brain to let me use his very new very cool edit of my track Dream (released like a week ago) and edited into the end of one of the most upbeat summer tracks that I’ve brought to this split; Summer of ‘26. I love everything DJ Big Brain does and will sing his praises until he ghosts me.

In an effort to make this release even more special (it’s been around a year and a half since we collaborated on a split!) I made and included a poster that includes a never before seen color version of the album cover of Spaces (our second split). Four of my songs include lyrics which are on bandcamp but also are available to read in a bright fun PDF included with the download.

Oh that’s not all though! The very first song I structured you to copy the album to a cassette tape and go take a walk… so we included an official bootleg cassette cover for you to print out and use! What else? I included two promo videos used on Instagram to tease this release, one using the Dream edit from DJ Big Brain one using the song Still by Skrawek.

Now, Skrawek is a man of mystery but I can tell you his music production is elevated. It’s extremely hard to pick a song of his on here that’s a favorite. They are all stand outs. He comes in string with his first track Still and stays strong until the end with Double Down. I can find myself dancing to his tracks more, he keeps the groove from going too far into the aether while I bring an intentional rawness that refuses to stay still. I cannot stop grooving to Malls of America, even if I still cringe when I hear my voice pop up on that song.

All in all I think we’ve created something that’s extremely fun and exciting to listen to and if you’ve been following and listening to us for a long time there’s a lot of rewarding little bits and nods and straight sequels to past songs that hopefully bring a knowing smile to your face.

We present the future cult classic “Let’s Split” for your entertainment purposes.

-Starry Eyed Night

(Thank you to Skrawek for connecting with me on a creative level to do this, thank you ACITYASLEEP for the dream collaboration, thank you DJ Big Brain for condensing and making my “Dream” bigger. Little shout out to Christian Mayhem who I sampled a bit on Piasshingu Revisited I know you’re out here somewhere)

Full Album Music Video using PD Film

I have been experimenting with making music videos in iMovie for my own music using videos I’ve sourced from the internet archive. My previous attempts don’t fall in public domain but this project used the public domain silent film Cabiria. the album is titled Sincerity and is currently only available through this video. I hope this of interest!
