NHD! (new handlebar day🤣)

Did my century ride today and decided to reward myself with the new handlebar!

(Thats actually a lie, i neededto ride that far because i already planned to get the handlebar and my nearest Trek dealership is 140km’s away, soooo, its not actually a reward for my century ride🤣).

Love how clean it looks. Best part is, its super damn comfortable. It a farcry compared to the stock SL handlebars.

The salesperson and mechanic told me to to try out with at least 2 thin spacers.
After the ride back, oh boy, how im looking forward to remove the spacers altogether!

If youre still on the fence thinking if u should get it, JUST GET IT! Its a no brainer. Looks good, feels good, rides extraordinary!

Next stop, the RSL Airloom saddles, is it worth it?

Question for roadbike cyclists!

Just wanted to know, for the first few months of your roadbike adventures, how far did you cycle per week?

Just curious and all.

Good deal or no?

Hello fellow cyclists!
I have recently acquired a Madone SL5 Gen 8 and am very satisfied with how it looks and ride.
I have done a few upgrades to it.
Just wanted to know if this is a good deal?
Converted to USD
Madone Sl5 Gen 8 : $2785
Ultegra Di2 8170 : $962
Zipp 454 NSW with used GP5000 S TR: $1772
Ultegra paddles : $96
Trek RSL Aero bottles : $142

Total is 5757.

Im also planning to get the trek rsl aero integrated handlebar/stem for $526 and the rsl airloom saddle for $380.

Do you think apart from the integrated handlebars and saddle, i got a good deal?

Some upgrades to the SL5 Madone

Got myself a rather good deals on the wheelset and ultegra di2.

Used Zipp 454 NSW + GP5000 S TR (now on another wheelset) - USD1772
New Ultegra Di2 8170 - USD962
RSL Aero Bottles - USD142 for two

And now to wait for integrated handlebars and saddle and of course bikefitting!

Much excite!

Steerer tube “spacers” needed?

Hello everyone.
I have just recently purchased the Madone SL5 Gen 8 for myself and had did some upgrades.
Upgraded to full Ultegra 8170 groupset, added some rsl aero bottles. (First time disassembling the bike and installing the groupset all by myself, well i had to ask the LBS to open up the BB so that i could insert the battery in, i dont have the tools ahaha)
My zipp 454 nsw should be arriving tomorrow.

Now i wanted to make the bike full aero and remove all the spacers on the handlebar.
I tried it just now and it felt perfect. Might need to adjust the saddle rearwards for a bit.

The question is, do i have to put in some “spacers” above the stem (below the top cap) to try it out for a week or so before deciding to cut the steerer?

Thank you everyone. Every input counts.
