Sometimes the strongest presence is the one that simply sits back, stays calm, and lets everyone else notice.
I’m still fairly new to Reddit and I’m really enjoying the platform, but one thing I find confusing is knowing whether I’m actually eligible to post or comment somewhere
Sometimes I write a whole post and only find out when I try to submit it that I don't meet one of the requirements
My idea is for Reddit to show this information before you start writing. Maybe Reddit could have a small eligibility indicator that checks your account against the requirements for the community you're viewing.
Something simple like:
🟢 You meet the requirements
🟡 You’re missing 1 requirement
🔴 You’re not eligible yet
It doesn't necessarily have to show the exact karma requirement if Reddit doesn't want to reveal that. Even something like “You meet 3 out of 4 requirements” and telling you what's missing would be helpful
I know Reddit already does some eligibility checks when you try to post, but having that information beforehand would save a lot of wasted time, especially for newer users.
I was wondering if other people would find this useful too
