Moving to Oklahoma

My husband and I are looking to relocate in a couple years, once I fulfill my obligation as a caregiver for his grandmother with Alzheimer’s. We’re good people, never been in trouble and are pretty quiet. Most you may hear from us is music when I’m in the zone cleaning the house! 😂 We would be looking to purchase our first home, possibly adopt/foster some kiddos, and in general just want some peace and quiet. We absolutely despise our current state aside from family and the few friends we have here and just want something better. That said, I think we decided on Oklahoma! Neither of us have really been out of the state we’re in much and definitely have not been to our future home state, HOWEVER; everyone we talk to that has either visited or lived there loves it. As for the question… seeing as neither of us have any experience in Oklahoma, we were just looking for some recommendations on places to avoid, maybe good towns to bring up some kids.. where we live now the homeless population is OUTRAGEOUS!! They have encampments on just about every corner and absolutely destroy businesses and buildings. We are in the city now and I think we’re looking for something a bit more rural. My husband and I just want away from it all and are hoping to carve out a nice little place to quietly raise a family and not have to worry about out property or children. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this and extra thanks to those who respond! Hope life is treating you fairly!!
