I am contemplating adding a powder room (aka half bath aka toilet + sink) to my owned unit, located in Canada (relevant building code). Only structural changes require building approval.

A bonus would be if I can also locate an all-in-one washer/dryer in the same space!

My gut tells me that the best location would be in the isolated bedroom, as it shares a wall with the bathroom. However, I would prefer it in the pantry, as this is otherwise a waste of space.. Another option for a stand-alone toilet might be the closet backing on the washroom?

I appreciate your input as to a) whether this would be considered a structural change or b) most practical placement option?
