Nearly 10 years old and still filling up for $0.00 ⚡️

One of my favorite things about my new-to-me 2016.5 Model S 75D is walking back to the car after a Supercharging session and seeing the total: $0.00.

This one still has SC01 lifetime free Supercharging, and I have to admit, it makes owning an older Model S feel pretty special.

The car may not charge as fast as the newest Teslas, but there’s something incredibly satisfying about pulling into a Supercharger, adding a bunch of miles, and driving away without paying a cent.

Almost a decade old, still looks great, still road-trips, and apparently still has a few tricks newer Teslas don’t. 😎

Anyone else here still daily-driving an SC01 Model S or Model X?

154 kW on a 2016.5 Model S 75D — anyone seen a 75D charge faster?

Was pretty surprised to see this today on my 2016.5 Tesla Model S 75D.
Pulled into the Supercharger with the battery fully preconditioned and saw it climb all the way to 154 kW at 22% SOC.
Details from the screen:
2016.5 Model S 75D
22% state of charge
154 kW charging power
514 mi/hr
122°F battery temperature
V3 Supercharger
Battery was preconditioned through Tesla navigation
I knew some of the older 75/75D cars could exceed the original ~120 kW charging figures after Tesla changed the charging curves, but 154 kW was much higher than I expected.
I’ve been trying to find documented Model S 75D charging results, and most of the higher reports I’ve come across seem to be in the 140–160 kW range. I haven’t found anything credible showing a Model S 75D substantially above 160 kW yet.
So I’m curious:
Has anyone here personally seen a Model S 75D hit 160+ kW?
I’m definitely not claiming this is a record, but 154 kW from a nearly 10-year-old 75D is pretty damn impressive.
Also worth noting that this car still has SC01 lifetime free Supercharging, which makes watching it pull 154 kW even more satisfying. 😎
