Ontario Family Medicine Exam Cutoffs?

This is what Ontario FM programs say.

“Approximately 600-700 candidates with top scores in the NAC and MCCQE1 will be invited for interviews.”

What are considered top scores? Eg roughly 1 SD above pass in NAC and MCCQE okay?

Would appreciate some insight if anyone knows anything.

The Wait for NAC OSCE Results is Haunting Me

The OSCE path was steep and long
Working so hard to not go wrong

The long awaited day draws near
The time to cast away our fear

NAC OSCE results we seek
The end we wait however bleak

Oh MCC we humbly pray
Release the news and light the way

End the suspense, make our worries cease
And grant us all a bit of peace

What to Expect at Prometric Test Centre (MCCQE)

If you’re like me and find it helpful to understand the exam day process to settle those uncertainty nerves, then this is for you. For context, I sat the MCCQE1 during this cycle.

Before You Arrive
A few days before my appointment, I received an email reminder confirming the location and time. Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes before your exam time. The sign-in and security checks take time, and you likely won't be the only person testing that day.

Checking In
When you arrive, you’re greeted at reception and asked for your ID (I used my passport). You’ll be given a locker key for your belongings.
What stays with you: Your ID and your locker key.
Water: You can bring a clear bottle of water (label removed).
Check the Prometric and MCC website for the most current list of permitted/prohibited items.
There’s an opportunity to use the washroom before you start the security check to release those nervous bodily fluids.

The Security Check
Before entering the exam room, there is a thorough security check. This includes:
An inspection of your ears and pockets.
A check of your water bottle (they even looked under my bottle cap).
An inspection of your glasses to ensure there are no recording devices.
A metal detector wand scan (front and back).
The Autograph: You’ll sign in like the star you are.

Inside the Exam Room
Once cleared, you’ll head to your station. You are given two fine-tip markers and a laminated sheet for those pesky biostats calculations or any other notes.
The computer is already set up, no logging in required. They also provide noise-canceling headphones to drown out the sound of other test-takers.

Structure
Tutorial: It starts with a tutorial and security video.
Section 1: You have about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The Break: Once you finish the first section, a 45-minute break begins.
Note*:* If you finish the first section early, you still only get 45 minutes for your break. The "saved" time does not roll over.
During the break: You can access your locker, eat, or doomscroll Reddit. You can also go to the washroom to release the consequences of morning espresso.
Break completion: When you’re ready, put your phone away in the locker and repeat the security process and sign-in.
Section 2: 2 hours and 40 mins again

Finishing Up
After completing the second section, there is a brief survey. Once done, gather your markers, laminated paper, ID, and locker key, and head to the invigilator to sign out.
And then... boom. You go home and spend the next few days wondering if you passed. 🥹

Hello all, appreciate this is a non-issue and very minor in importance but wanted to ask for my own curiosity.

I am sitting MCCQE soon. I understand there are 2 sections with an optional 45 min break in between.

However, when I do official practice questions I find myself answering questions with plenty of time to spare. I’m not one to go back to questions and change answers as if I overthink, I tend to get more wrong. On the official practice tests you can just end exam.

So how does it work on the day? Let’s say I do all the questions in the first section, can I end the section early? And if so does that give me more break time or just the 45 mins? And can I leave early if I finish the second section with time to spare?

Appreciate any insight, as I said this is more for my curiosity haha
