I moved to Vadodara from Ahmedabad about a year ago, and I’m still trying to figure out good places where I can take my dog out for a walk, let him run around, or even take him swimming.

I’m around Sama Canal Road, and honestly, I’ve found it surprisingly difficult to find proper dog-friendly/open spaces here. Maybe I’m just missing some local spots, so I thought I’d ask the pet parents of Vadodara.

In Ahmedabad, we had quite a few options — for example, Paparazzi, where the dog park was free and accessible, along with various open gardens and dog-friendly places. There were also options like dog hotels/pet facilities where you could take your dog swimming, and some societies had pools where dogs were allowed.

Here, the only options I currently know of are:

Doggers Park, Gotri – they have swimming sessions, but it’s around ₹1,000 per session.

Kotna Beach – where I can let him swim more freely.

I’m specifically looking for suggestions for:
🐕 Open parks/gardens where dogs are allowed
🌳 Places where he can run/walk off-leash (where permitted)
🏊 Swimming spots or dog-friendly pools
🏨 Pet hotels/daycare facilities with swimming
🐾 Any lesser-known dog-friendly spaces around Sama, Gotri, Vasna, Sevasi, etc.
💰 Paid options are absolutely fine too.

I’m happy to drive a bit if the place is actually worth it.
So, Baroda pet parents — where do you take your dogs? 😄

Would really appreciate any suggestions, especially for places that aren’t necessarily showing up on Google Maps. I’m sure there must be some good spots that only the local pet community knows about!

Hear me out before judging me!

My Labrador turns 4 on July 24, and lately I’ve found myself thinking about something that’s surprisingly emotional for me. 🥳🎉

The thought that one day I’ll lose him to old age genuinely scares me. He’s more than just a pet—he’s family, my best friend, and a huge part of my life. I know no puppy could ever replace him, and that’s not what I’m trying to do. 😥

What I’d love is to keep a small part of him with my family by continuing his bloodline. If everything is done responsibly and ethically, I’d like to find a healthy female Labrador whose owners are also looking to breed. My intention would be to keep one or two of the puppies myself, so that a part of him stays with me even after he’s gone someday. ❤️‍🩹❤️🧿

I’m not looking to make money from breeding, and I’m not trying to breed irresponsibly. The health, temperament, and well-being of both dogs would come first. If health testing or any other responsible breeding practices are necessary, I’m completely willing to do them.🙏

Has anyone here gone through something similar? Is this a reasonable idea, or is there anything I should know before pursuing it? And if you’re in or around my area and have a healthy female Labrador (or know someone who does), I’d really appreciate hearing from you.

I’m exploring the idea of opening a cafe on the outskirts/highway side of Vadodara and would love some honest feedback before I invest serious money into it.

The concept is a space that transforms throughout the day:
☀️ Morning & Daytime
• Relaxed coffee spot
• Open-air seating surrounded by nature
• Warm ambient lighting, greenery, and a calm atmosphere
• Good coffee, food, conversations, remote work, and casual hangouts

🌙 Evening & Night
• The indoor section transforms into a sound-insulated music chamber
• Large folding doors remain open during the day and close at night
• Psychedelic, trance, progressive house, and electronic music events
• Live DJs and curated music experiences
• Central open dance floor with seating around the edges

🌿 Outdoor Area
• Open-air seating under LED/string lights
• Nature views and low ambient lighting
• Same music as indoors but at a much lower volume for people who want to relax instead of dance

The vision is not a nightclub, but a community-focused space combining:
• Coffee culture
• Nature
• Music
• Art
• Social gatherings

The location would likely be on a highway road or near the outskirts rather than in the city center.

My biggest questions:
Would people in Vadodara actually drive 15–30 minutes for this experience?
Is there enough audience for psytrance/electronic music here?
What would make this fail?
What would make you visit regularly?
Would you prefer a pure cafe or this dual-concept model?

Hey all!

I am travelling for a week and recently moved to Baroda.
Got no relatives or long term friends here!
Any foster home or house boarding in Ahmedabad would be good too.

My 4 year old Labra Baby can’t stay at hostel or commercial setup bcoz he sleep only when u cuddle him.

Can anyone help me with a foster home for 5-13 June? Or a home boarding where he would be taken care of and loved for a week?

Forever grateful for help.
Fyi, I can’t take him with me because high altitude mountain travel is not advised for him.
