SF to Farmers. What to expect?

Throwaway, cause why not.

I have been a remote SF agent team member for a few years now, and with the recent changes SF has made, my boss is planning to close up and open a Farmers agency this next year.

Farmers offers higher commission %, and we would have access to have higher overall premiums in new States. On the contrary, I have read that Farmers premiums are much higher which could make it harder to write new business.

I know most here will recommend to go independent. I myself am not in the financial situation to do so. I enjoy working with my boss and even suggested it to him - I think the overhead capital/direct management is too much.

I am wondering if anybody else has made this specific change, or if you know of any major differences between the two companies and what working with them looks like. Any advice appreciated!
