Anyone have a quicker alternative to AdvicePay for financial planning fees? It takes way too long for funds to clear our account.

Hey All. Curious how some of you are approaching the following. Client pays planning fee. Plan completed with portfolio recommendation. Client agrees to move funds over. Are you discounting the AUM fee based on planning fee or keeping completely separate?
I have a situation where client technically meets the minimum $500k to waive planning fee but unsure if they’re going to move funds over. Thanks!
Has anyone come across this issue when attempting to transfer from Empower rollover IRA? Whereby there is no account number but rather only a plan ID and participant ID.? The Schwab transfer form is requiring an account number but there is none. The participant ID is 8 digits and the Schwab rep is saying it needs to be 9? I may have just gotten an inexperienced rep? Thoughts?
Hey All! How are we handling 401k rollovers from institutions like Fidelity that will only send check to client?
Seems intentionally archaic. I custodian with Schwab and want to get assets over as seamless as possible for 401k clients that have old 401ks.
In the past I’ve seen advisors physically pickup client checks, send prepaid fedex envelopes, or just leave it up to the client to drop off or mail the check to the advisor which seems like too many steps.
Thoughts?
Looking to buy small book of insurance or AUM versus the guessing game w marketing and social media. I’ve tried almost everything at this point to grow my book w the exception of purchase one and in hindsight I probably should’ve just started there. I have about $50k - $100k capital that I’m willing to deploy.
My practice is comprehensive, fee-based, RightCapital, Schwab custodian, Envestnet TAMP, brokered w all the major insurance firms, physician specific as my spouse is also a doctor. However I’m happy to branch out to service other members of the community.
Can someone please point me in the right direction on where I might find a legitimate marketplace for the small firm. Thanks!!
Need your thoughts. I’m a few-based planner. I frequently send clients to a tax strategist cpa and an estate planning attorney, primarily because i want to do right by my client. However. I’m just done w the idea of sending business and getting absolutely nothing in return in terms of referrals. I’ve asked them exclusively to consider sending me clients and get the same response every time “my clients don’t ask for planning…it’s not typically something that comes up in conversation…yes I’ll be sure to think about you….blah blah blah.
What are yall doing to develop a good relationship w strategic partners??
