Ticking noise
Hello everyone looking at buying my first 4runner.
2009 4.0 v6 4x4, 177k miles. Asking 11k, interior is mint, No CEL, no obvious leaks, but there is some tick with the motor - seems like people say it is normal for this motor however wanted to see what you all have to say.
Any advice is appreciated, hoping to pick it up in a few days if it I can feel more certain about it.
Only hear it at idle, I didn't hear it really at all when driving, and zero bad noises at all when I was really heavy on the gas. Accelerated and shifted great, drove for about 20 mins no lights came on.
Thoughts on the ticking noise? Looking back on the video it's hard to tell if it's just some chattering plastic in the engine bay or what. I have another video doing slight revs and the noise gets faster but not louder. Did not seem to go away after getting to temp.
