I've been playing Ovenbreak for a some time now. Not every minute, but I'm currently at level 99 or so, which I guess isn't much. Several years ago (about 3 years, I don’t remember exactly), I already tried to play, but I was scared by the amount of content available to me right away (then, I think, that yellow bear didn’t exist yet). And a few months ago, since Timekeeper was supposed to appear in the kingdom, I decided to find out her lore directly from Ovenbrake herself, but I became so curious about what was happening in the plot ( Besides, the gameplay is cool, so why not). That's why I'm now going through the story in order.

I wanted to ask about the game's narrative. Everything was more or less clear; Gingerbrave's group simply followed the compass wherever they went. The children came out of the desert and... Appeared on the territory of Lotus Dragon. At first, everything goes well: Lotus Dragon wants to look at the compass and, according to them, there is no point in lying. The next level, and the alchemist Cookie and his friend are already searching the library for a way to defeat the Lotus Dragon—wait, wasn't everything normal? Then suddenly Milk Cookie and Purple Yum Cookies appear again. Where did they come from? Wait, the Lotus Dragon turned out to be an ill-wisher... um...

My point is that the plot of Chapter 6 is very... truncated? The narrative feels too jerky. I'm very afraid that the following chapters will be just as condensed, but I hope I'm wrong?

No, really. When I thought about it... Well, I'll say that in the MLP fandom, many have begun to realize that the Elements of Harmony don't follow any kind of morality, they simply personify their element. So, the owners of the elements of harmony chose not ideally good ponies, but ponies that were closest to the exaggerated features of their elements. And yes, Souljams are essentially doing the same thing, only they're allowed to talk. That's actually one of the few differences, I think. There was also an episode where Chrysalis created clones of the Mane Six. What did the tree, and by extension the elements of harmony, do when these clones, not matching their element, tried to use the elements of harmony? The Tree of Harmony killed them. No, seriously, in some countries this scene was cut out entirely.

I like that the topic of tarot cards sometimes appears in the context of SM and PV, because the layouts, like the information, can be interpreted in absolutely different ways. Okay, can we talk about PV's room? I didn't find a post on this topic here. I find the artists' decision interesting, how can I put it better... Their actions leave room for interpretation in the matter of PV's bedroom in the Spire of Deceit. I won't talk about the orchids turning black and the eyes getting bigger. However... Vanilla's room is the only place that is done in the original yellow tones, lol? Of the interesting added details, there is a plush version of Shadow Milk and A jar with unknown contents on the table. I suggest that there are either berries from the Garden of Sloth (which he collected in episode 10, but I still assume that all episodes after 1-2 happen simultaneously) or any other contents, maybe yogurt, I don't know.

Maybe I'm still suffering from SDMS, but surely there was no point in the artists adding this jar compared to the original chambers if they didn't want to show something? Like, they added a plush toy, haha. I also conclude that the Trio of Deception don't need food (logical, in general. If you're interested, watch the minions' lines about star jellies), So I guess there's no kitchen or dining hall in Spire lol. And PV, despite not aging, still needs food. Speaking of berries, it's possible that they also partially influenced PV's mind, if he ate them at all, given his habits.

Okay, finally what I wanted to say. The fact that Shadow Milk decided to recreate PV's chambers from the castle can be interpreted in completely different ways. It could be psychological pressure on the feeling of guilt for the kingdom or, if you like, a kind of perverted care, who knows. You can write what you think yourself. Most likely, I'm still the same as I was with the SDMS.
