My arranged marriage fell apart because of kundli mismatch. Is kundli matching really that important?

Finally met someone who checked every box, shared values, similar interests, genuinely great personality, the whole deal. My parents were thrilled, I was thrilled, I was already mentally planning the wedding playlist. Our stars had aligned, or so I thought.

Then the kundli report happened. Sat there going through the charts and symbols and just felt this slow sinking feeling in my chest as I realized the planets were, apparently, not having it. Felt like getting punched in the gut over a piece of paper.

And the worst part is I just... accepted it. Didn't even really push back. Tradition says kundli matching is non-negotiable for a harmonious marriage, so I quietly said goodbye to someone I actually really liked, heavy heart and all. Still not sure if I regret going along with it or not. Anyone else had their relationship torpedoed by a ""mismatch,"" or am I the only one who let a birth chart make my dating decisions for me?

Tax-wise, does NRE or NRO actually work out better for you?

Trying to understand how NRE and NRO accounts actually differ on taxation beyond the generic explanation that most articles just keep repeating without giving real numbers. NRE interest is tax free in India while NRO interest gets taxed at source as per my understanding, but I'm not sure how this plays out practically once DTAA gets factored into the picture for someone's specific country. Does the tax difference actually matter enough in your decision or is it a smaller factor overall.

Which bank made it easiest when you tried to open nre account online? trying to decide and would rather keep things simple

about to start the process to open nre account online and a bit unsure based on stories I've heard from friends about document back and forth, delays in verification calls, and sometimes having to resubmit the same documents twice because of unclear requirements. trying to narrow down which bank actually makes this process simple and quick rather than dragging on for weeks. ideally looking for something i can do entirely from my phone or laptop without needing to visit a branch, since im not currently in india. would appreciate hearing about your actual experience rather than what the bank websites claim
