Hedge Maze Rooms

Hey all, my party just started Xonthal's Tower last session and they've already gone through most of the Hedge Maze rooms (I don't think they understand the sundial puzzle) and I think I'm gonna need more rooms. The book says to reuse rooms or make your own and I prefer the later. What are some more room ideas that have worked for your tables?

About to run Metallic Dragons Arise

I am aware this is a kind of lanky solution to doing a council meeting but like maybe the players will enjoy it. Also, yes in my world Metallic dragons are the Eastern sky noodles.

Anyone else do the thing where you change the look of the Dragon based on its type?

In my world the chromatic dragons are European style dragons (the ones WOTC likes to use as a reference) since those were generally evil and more of an obstacle rather than anything else. This works out well since most paintable models for dragons are European style.

Metallic dragons on the other hand are presented as the Eastern style (sky noodles) since they are considered helpful and wise (like Metallic dragons). They are usually allies instead of enemies so therefore not having models actually works out kinda fine.

I need help justifying to my players why gem dragons are Meso-American dragons (sky serpents). I need help justifying this arbitrary part of the world.

Looking to Create a "Child of Tiamat"

In the extended lore some of Tiamat's brood have multiple heads of different colors. On Monday I am having my party (5 L10 characters with high damage output and little healing) fight one.

What I know so far: This dragon will be a red and green dragon but the green head's poison lingers and the red head can ignite the poison. Before this the party will be going through a couple encounters designed to drain resources.

What I don't know: The specifics. Have any of you run something similar? Would it be better to run as two heads which take separate initiatives? Would an Adult Red Dragon base be too weak of a starting point?
