Hanako/Shizune routes are highly recommended, since they are quite different (and really dark). You may even like it better than the final version. I got to appreciate those two girls better after this (Even though Rin/Lilly will always be my favorite)

Lilly's route is pretty raw and unrefined (+Akira's questionable tastes)

Rin's route is pretty much the same, with some minor differences

And Emi... It is softlocked for a reason. Do not try to access it. You will regret it. You have been warned

I thought Hanako's Beta route was depressing enough, but oh boy I was just not ready for this

(Although I must say that just like Hanako's, I felt like Shizune's Beta route felt more complete despite some drastic story elements. Her route didn't really impress me much in the final version but this one felt much more interesting)

So I reached the good end of pre-Alpha, and I must say I feel like I've finally seen 'the true ending' of Hanako's journey.

Her unfortunate past is much more detailed. She learns to grow up to be more assertive and make friends with other girls, And how in the end, she finally faces her deepest scar she've hidden >!(How she blamed her father for not letting her die that day) and learns to truly 'live'!<. It's like this route finally scratched the itch I felt after playing her route in the final game. (I must confess she was not one of my top girls before)

Despite parts with unpolished writing and some... questionable decisions (>!Like making her pregnant?!<), I feel like Beta Hanako route is the comprehensive version of her story and made me truly love her character.
