The orange Lambo rabbit hole goes deeper than I expected
Been quietly building a very specific Lamborghini collection for a little over 2 years now, and I think it’s finally reached the point where it’s fun to share.
The goal sounds simple at first:
- 1:64 scale
- diecast only
- Lambo only
- orange/orange-ish colors only
…which was originally supposed to STOP me from spiraling into random collecting.
Instead, it somehow made the hunt 10x harder — but honestly that became part of the fun.
I’m also limiting the collection to:
- factory-designed
- road cars
- no Liberty Walk / Mansory / random bodykits
- no race team cars or wild customs
Basically, I want the “pure Lamborghini timeline”.
Current rule is:
- Miura and later only
- ideally one model per car
- If I find a version I like more, the old one gets demoted to becoming my son’s toy 😂
- not collecting resin (for now)
Dream additions I’m still hunting for:
Murciélago Roadster (please somebody make a proper orange one before I break my own rules)

Diablo SV with the giant side SV graphics (I already gave the yellow one to my son 😂)

As it gets deeper, there’s no turning back. At this point it’s getting genuinely difficult to discover missing cars by myself, so I’d love to hear from fellow Lambo nerds if there are any obscure gaps I missed 😉
