It's time to have a very uncomfortable conversation about raising the visible stat cap

- Great talent is everywhere

- Rise above everywhere

- Stats just being higher in general

- Emblem ike potentially getting rise above 4 built into his weapon

We're starting to reach 99 caps very often and I feel it's a real possibility (and growing necessity) to raise the visible stat cap to 999 in the following months

This whole Tsubasa situation feels like a good way segway for y'all to learn about a little thing called Hostile Attribution Bias

Ever since the FEH channel, I've seen multiple people going on wacky theorist rants without much of any evidence that "IS Must have made Tsubasa's outfitt boring on purpose because they clearly hate TMS and they never want to mention it again" (which if that was really the case IS would just never made TMS units Voteable in the first place, they wouldn't have jumped through so many hoops for what you're suggesting)

Both this and the brave tiki situations are just cases of Hostile Attribution Bias

Hostile attribution bias, or hostile attribution of intent, is the tendency to interpret others' behaviors as having hostile intent, even when the behavior is ambiguous or benign

Like no guys, IS is not doing a grand little masterplan like a supervillain on some "No one will EVER vote for TMS after this MWAHAHAA" bs

You're just taking an ambiguous action that personally hurt you (that being IS choosing an outfit for Tsubasa you didn't like) and just attributing an element of malice or hostility to that action so your anger feels more justified. "They MUST have done this on purpose as a grandplan to make us mad" and that can be said about how people discuss MOST character related decisions in this game.

Like no guys Brave Tiki isn't wearing Young Tiki's outfit because they hated that you voted for the adult one, it was just one of the many choices that made sense and they just so happened to choose the one you didn't like

And as we saw with Brave Tiki, Hostile Attribution Bias is just not a healthy mindset to have as a whole considering her artist was sent death threats over it, and I'm fully expecting the same thing to happen to Brave Tsubasa's artist as well

Point is, FEH has way too many actual problems for you to be out here making up fanfic level problems, just knock it off, it's embarrassing, channel that energy into something that actually matters

Hi I'm the guy that made that one post you probably hated and yes it was dumb of me

While i still fully stand by the fact there's a severe diversity issue with Crush Crush, I do feel like it was a bit reactionary of me

I feel i should've waited like a full month after the dust of this voting event settled before I talked about it

Cuz now it's just getting lumped with pointless waifu war discourse now instead of being treated as the actual issue it is

I'm not afraid to admit i was wrong, I absolutely was

However, in the upcoming months in case things don't change much about the diversity issue, i will do a second post about it, with a LOT more research and thought on the matter, cuz while originally this was just an issue about personal gripes with a lack of diversity in a silly dating game, the very unpleasant DMs I've received over the matter calling me a monkey and the like because of said post did make me realize that while this is a developer issue it is also a community issue (much more the latter)

This may be a very big controversial accusation, but I'm starting to think Sad Panda Studios may be kinda racist and just add diversity sometimes to meet a quota to not look weird

How are we approaching almost 100 girls and like less than 20 are anything other than white women or very slight tans?

Looking at the upcoming list of upcoming girls through the casting call website

The next 4 women coming to the game are all just white women, and one that's slightly yellow

The most recent voting was a very clear setup as well, "which one do y'all want, the dazzling hot horse girl or the village lady with not much going on" of course she was gonna lose, I'm starting to think this voting was just a way for the devs to not add more diverse characters later by using the excuse of "look at the Dakota vs isabelle voting event, different skin tones are clearly not that popular"

And while yes, the losing girl will get added to the game eventually (the devs won't tell you when, because god forbid communication) it's still important to point out both the medieval voting and now this western voting were very clearly set up in such a way to have a very safe widely appealing looking choice that abides to sameyness they've had this past few years and clearly designed to win the vote, and a choice that would add some sort of diversity body or race wise that's very clearly meant to be the unpopular choice and meant to lose, in short terms these choices are very clearly not designed to be equal

It just starts to feel like they only add a different skin tone once or twice a year so they don't get accused of just releasing white women, not because there's any genuine passion to add diversity to the game

And on a side tangent as well, body types are also a horrible issue this game currently has too, like I'm not even excited when a new girl gets added anymore cuz now it's just the same hourglass body type over and over but with different clothes and hair

I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but nothing ever changes, so at this point it must mean they want it to stay like this, and if it am wrong and they don't have ill intent, it still looks like it, and not addressing it just makes them look worse

It's also a community issue, cuz you can't even say "I'm disappointed we didn't get the character that fits my tastes more and would add more diversity to the game" without multiple people saying "cry harder" and the like

EDIT: i keep seeing people trying to say "oh they aren't racist, the game just lacks diversity because white women are popular" okay, what is the root cause of that? And what is caving in to those demands help spread more? You're almost getting it

In the absolute best case scenario, they still have a racist fanbase and are caving to their demands propagating the issue
