Verbal abuse by customers

It’s an every day thing, if you’re a customer who berates your already underpaid stylist why??

You’re not better than us simply for the fact you’re a customer I am not below you either. If it weren’t for me being your hairdresser you’d look a mess..

I wanna leave this place!

Any other stylist thinking of throwing in the towel? I’m getting so unbelievably drained, tired, exhausted and my body is in constant pain!

The clients are all dreadful and rude. They’re extremely demanding and treat you as if you’re beneath them. They want the cheapest haircut for the most amount of work. I don’t eat for hours. I don’t get to sit for hours. Our place is filthy. I’m barely making any money to survive this economy. The clients berate me and talk down on me for hours! Multiple times a day each week!! I want out!!!

I love doing hair but this fast food salon environment is sucking the life out of me…

I’m thinking of going back to school and pursuing a new profession, have any of you left and completely started over? I’m considering it lately..

Why are people so rude?

Vent post:

I’m so tired of almost every client being so extremely demanding and disrespectful, I’m exhausted, haven’t eaten in hours. They wanna pay the least for the most extensive service.

I currently work at a chain salon so I knew condition’s wouldn’t be great when I started but man am I tired..

Not to mention the amount of people who assume we can just apply and work there! Don’t need schooling, no licensing, no practice and when I do explain everything I was taught/learned they look at me like I’m crazy!

Yeah, I wasted thousands of dollars just for fun! I work full time and barely make enough money to live for fun! I don’t see my family or my fiance for days on end for fun!
