Thought my lawn was dead
As the title suggest I thought my lawn was dead. Horrid summer in London. My lawn looked like hay a few weeks back.
Kept an eye on the weather and saw that there was going to be a few days of constant rain and that the temperature was going to be humid. Best to mow, aerate, scarify the lawn, overseed and put some topsoil down.
I’ve used Boston seeds and I would highly recommend. Germination took place less then a week and growth was fast.
The days that there were no rain I used a sprayer to water the lawn (I did this tree times a day). Early morning before 8, midday and evening. Moist soil and humid temp really helped growth.
