Why did they ruin the Jesal Park Chowpatty?

I am seeing bikes and scooters being allowed and they are honking every second, people are throwing trash as if it's their own dumping ground and they dug the playground too.

It's unbearable to walk there. Why did they allow all this? On whose permission?

I used to go to the Chowpatty area everyday for quiet evening and morning walks. Kids used to play cricket and football there. It's the only place in Bhayandar East where one can relax. They have ruined everything.

Has anyone noticed cloudy tap water?

Since last week some people in my society noticed that the water was undrinkable even after filtering it and it was cloudy.

I am not sure how people haven't complained yet? Have you guys noticed the same?

Are there any water testing facilities nearby to test the water as I can't find any nearby on maps and the water testing kit is too expensive.

I've always wanted to become a runner, but I'm also considering joining a gym. What should I do?

Ever since I was younger, I've wanted to be a runner. My dream is to eventually complete a 10K and, if possible, a marathon.

The thing is, I'm now at a point where I can either:

  • Join a gym and strength train, or
  • Skip the gym and focus on running while doing bodyweight workouts at home.

My goals are:

  • Make running my main hobby and long-term priority.
  • Lose some belly fat.
  • Build enough strength and muscle to stay healthy and prevent injuries.

I'm worried that if I join a gym, I'll have less energy and time for running. On the other hand, I've read that strength training is important for runners.

For those of you who run regularly:

  • If you could start over, would you join a gym or just run?
  • Is a gym really worth it if running is your main goal?
  • Can bodyweight exercises and a pull-up bar provide enough strength training for someone who wants to run long distances?
  • How did you balance running with strength training without burning out?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar situation. Thanks!
