Looking for muffler recommendations for my 74 with a 455. Had a cheap exhaust kit from Jegs (it’s terrible) and it came with some oem style looking mufflers and it was criminally quiet. The over axle pipes fit terrible and hated the mufflers so tonight mocked it up as a side exit just to hear it and it needs toned down a little. So looking for recs for something still loud but not drones so bad you don’t want to cruise on the highway.

Current set up is shorty headers with an x pipe.

PFA: Putting together a Frankenstein build here, 74 Espirit with a 455 believed to be out of a 71 Bonneville, 70-73 front clip and formula hood. I can’t seem to figure out what air cleaner set up I’ll need to clear the formula hood. Everything I’ve tried so far as is too tall.
