Viibryd to Zoloft for Trying to Conceive

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant (we did in June, but miscarried in July, and I’m just starting to ovulate again. I LOVE Viibryd and in combination with my other meds it has been a godsend. I’ve been on 40 mg for about two years. I recently had an appointment with a fertility specialist who basically said there’s not enough info on it to decide it it’s safe for pregnancy, which I knew.

As a result, I tapered from 40 mg of Viibryd to 20 mg, and after about 10 days in, I started to feel really anxious, dissociated, and my teeth were grinding (my most recognizable “ok something is wrong” anxiety sign). Four days later, after a full two weeks on the 20 mg, I came off the Viibryd and started on 25 mg of Zoloft. It has been about 10 days on Zoloft and it just doesn’t feel like it’s getting any better.

I tried to go up to 50 mg last week (probably too soon, but my doctor advised that I could but she was dead wrong) and was awake for like 48 hours because I was so activated and I cried for a day straight.

I am seeing my doctor today and am having a really hard time deciding between asking to go back on Viibryd, or I’ve made it this far through the withdrawals that maybe I should push through on Zoloft. Of course, I’m concerned Zoloft will never really do it for me, and I’ll be here in a month still feeling bad and needing to switch back.

Half vent, half what would you all do?

Thank you 🤍

Mommy’s little nutjob

This is Cooper. His eyes will penetrate your soul, but fortunately not too much is going on between his ears so whatever information he gathers he will do nothing with 😂

We got him in 2020 when my husband and I both started working from home. Neither of us has ever regularly returned to office, so he has extreme separation anxiety when we leave the house, even if it’s just to work out in our garage. He takes puppy prozac and is still a nut. He barks all day to protect us, especially from the mean 6 lb white fluffy dog down the road.

He grew up in Boston, MA and loves the snow. We moved back to California because we loved the seasons but couldn’t do the cold anymore. He immediately became a beach dog and has never looked back.

He has had two brothers, both super weird orange cats. He was noticeably sad when his older cat brother died in 2021. My husband and I were too. We got him a new cat a few months later, who he now spends his days chasing around the house. He enjoys anything and everything peanut butter and waking his dad up for no reason at 6 am.

We hope we can afford to get him an Aussie brother someday, but for now, he’s our only dog. He’s so quirky and so sweet, and we love him so much!
