My prediction for what happens after this arc is that it will return to the present, and have daniel (in his second body of course), try to figure out how to control his ultra instinct. So what he could do is have Steve hong, the billionaire, help put him in the same prison as gun, so gun can teach him. Also during this time, maybe he reveals that he is also little Daniel too, and there would some actual interaction between them instead of the timeskip they had during little daniels training.

I think it will be a while until little Daniel reappears (may not be little anymore considering what happened to him after his fight with kitae), and his body probably got a lot bigger after the fact.
