Death Island Challenge
An abandoned archaeological facility sits deep within a remote jungle island.
Only one resident remains: an aging grandmother guarding an ancient wishing well.
One day, a castaway washes ashore.
The well offers eternal youth… but every gift demands sacrifice.
Core Rules
Every Friday:
- A mysterious baby appears somewhere on the island.
- All adult Sims must gather at the wishing well and wish for Youthful Vigor.
- Some Sims are spared.
- Some Sims are taken by the island.
No one knows how the well chooses.
Objective
Transform the abandoned ruins into a fully functioning civilization before the well destroys the population.
Your Sims must:
- survive weekly sacrifices
- raise children
- expand the settlement
- restore the island ruins
- create a sustainable society
Building & Currency System
The island has no traditional money economy.
Currency is based on labor and craftsmanship:
- 3 crafted bar stools = 1 furniture item
- 3 crafted bar stools = 1 new 6-tile room
Expansion is slow and survival-focused. Civilization must be earned piece by piece.
Suggested Progression
- Unlock plumbing/electricity through skill progression.
- Add only one major structure expansion per week.
- Gradually convert the abandoned research facility into a thriving settlement.
- Survive long enough for future generations to inherit the island.

Your founder awakens alone on a mysterious island with only:
- a sacred throne/heiau
- a wishing well
- two chickens (“Adam & Eve chickens”)
- a chicken coop
- and a woodworking table
The island is believed to choose its people through fate.

Start with:
- 1 founder/castaway
- 2 chickens
- 1 chicken coop
- 1 woodworking table
- 1 wishing well
- 1 sacred throne/heiau area
No modern comforts.
No luxury items.
The island should feel abandoned and survival-focused.
🌊 CASTAWAY RULES 🌊
When the wishing well grants a flirty/romantic/social blessing:
Castaways are selected randomly from Manage Households.
You may also recruit Sims who autonomously appear on the island.
👑 LEADERSHIP 👑
The island is ruled by a chosen leader.
Once the island reaches 5 castaways:
- appoint 1 Second-in-Command
No playable ghosts allowed.
Founder graves become sacred ancestral sites.
🪵 CRAFTING ECONOMY 🪵
Every 5 crafted furniture objects unlocks ONE reward:
- 1 furniture item
OR
- 1 six-tile room addition
All furniture must begin at the lowest/roughest tier.
To upgrade furniture:
- craft 5 additional objects
👶 HEIR RULES 👶
Before ANY child/heir is allowed:
EVERY founder must have:
- 1 bed
- 1 toilet
- 1 tub/shower
AND:
- a bassinet must be unlocked through crafting
The first heir should feel mythological:
- washed ashore
- spiritually chosen
- adopted through fate
- or connected to the island’s magic
The goal is not just survival —
it’s the creation of a living civilization shaped by fate, sacrifice, random townies, and absolute Sims chaos. 😭
