Potential Route

I’m currently 29, graduating next year with Bachelor in CJ. I’m currently a local LEO. I have always wanted to be in investigations but also like the idea of USAF. I’m trying to start a family and get squared away. The spouse is open for relocation until we settle. I know USAF has a 42 age while 1811 is 37 limit. I know with USAF, I’ll still work local and have USAF part time. My biggest fear is going through 1811 process to get denied later on. Basically all eggs in one basket. Then I have to start over or plan something else. I have no doubt both routes will have ups and downs. But from everyone’s experience, what seems likely more stable and beneficial?

Thanks

Previous BQA

In short, I applied for the Secret Service UD division. After the security interview, I was sent a BQA email. I didn’t think nothing of it. Months later my current agency (local law enforcement) contacted me in regards to the Secret Service relaying information to my current agency. I fully cooperated with my agency and explained everything and was honest. After the internal investigation, I faced no adverse actions. It was deemed a learning matter and nothing more. My question is, I’m planning to enlist in the Air Force Reserve after I graduate college next year. As most jobs require a clearance, will this prevent me? I know it will be talked about and I’m prepared for that. I tried reaching out to Secret Service for a FOIA request. With no results. Can I be permanently banned from a clearance?
