I just wanted to ask something that suddenly sparked my curiosity. I’ve heard that most Filipinos in the Philippines go through circumcision, so I was wondering if it’s still commonly practiced in other Filipino-American households too. Do they usually have it done at birth or during their teenage years, like in the Philippines? Or is it true that a lot of people there don’t really practice it anymore?

I’m also curious about how that part of Filipino culture is usually perceived, both by Filipino-Americans and by others in general. I grew up pretty confused about it myself, but I never really bothered talking to my family about it, so I’ve always been curious.
