[2 YoE] SWE Resume Review – Java / Spring Boot | 6000+ Applications | Struggling with interview callbacks
I am currently applying for backend software engineering roles in the United States, primarily focused on Java/Spring Boot and distributed systems. I am on OPT with STEM extension available.
Over the last 10 months, I have submitted 8000+ applications across various platforms, sent 50+ networking emails, and received multiple referrals. Despite this effort, I have received 1 interview (Google), which I did not clear past the second round.
I am applying to both entry-level and 2+ YoE backend roles and would appreciate guidance on whether my resume is effectively communicating my experience and technical depth.
I would also appreciate feedback on what may be limiting my response rate given the scale of applications and whether my positioning (experience level, skills, or structure) may be an issue.
