Denver Rescue Mission to Close Residential Treatment Programs, Displacing Dozens
Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) has announced the closure of several residential and sober living treatment facilities, including its long-standing Harvest Farm New Life Program. The decision marks a significant shift for an organization that has served thousands of individuals facing homelessness and substance use disorders.
Harvest Farm, located near Wellington, Colorado, currently houses approximately 60 men, many of whom have been participating in the program for over a year. Residents were recently informed they will have 30 days to secure alternative housing and support.
The New Life Program has been a cornerstone of DRM’s recovery services, offering structured living, job training, and long-term rehabilitation opportunities. Its closure raises concerns among community members and advocates about the availability of transitional housing and recovery resources in the region.
DRM has not yet released detailed information about the reasons behind the closures or plans to assist affected residents during the transition.
